The Various Causes of Migraine Head pain

It may be a fair guess that every person has suffered the pain of a headache. Migraine headaches are not the ordinary run of the mill type of headache. In fact, I used to get migraines when I was really young but they stopped. I am so thankful they stopped simply because they were extremely painful. It is somewhat intriguing that headaches, and especially migraines, are not fully understood by the medical community. There are many reasons for this not the least of which is individuals can perceive and feel pain in various ways. But there is much more to this story which is challenging and has many pieces to it. Migraines have never been connected with leaky gut and are sometimes a mystery.

As you can envision, there has been a great deal of understanding gathered over the years. You can see migraines referenced as a type of vascular headache, and that merely means it is related to the system of veins and vessels in our body. To begin with, there are many who can easily experience a migraine if they're subject to significant temperatures of either hot or cold. Then there are people who can have this type of headache if they experience abnormal sleep loss or too much hunger. So all of this clearly reveals that environmental influences perform a role at least with some affected individuals. Stress is a variable with many other individuals, and perhaps particularly if it is prolonged stress.

There continues to be research involving the special characteristics of migraines such as the fact they build up more gradually than other headaches. Obviously that can guide them to investigate certain areas which could be fruitful. It seems that the present situation is that doctors have a lot of data that they can try to work with. There could perhaps be a genetic aspect involved, however that does not seem to include all migraine sufferers. On the other hand, genetics is not a factor with everybody, and so that is another facet that has to be taken into account.

For women, there may be a connection with hormone changes and migraines. In fact, prevalence of migraines have been noted during the times just before or after the menstrual cycle happens. It is recognized that estrogen diminishes quite a bit during those time frames. Then again, other important hormonal shifts happen during pregnancy and menopause. As you may be thinking, there can be some who have higher incidences of migraines at those times. It could be interesting to note that the treatment known as HRT, hormonal replacement therapy, can make migraines more serious than they already are. But the thing that causes some difficulty is that these findings are not universal; they do not occur for all women who experience migraines.

Other added migraine precursors involve overwhelming scents from practically anything plus vibrant lights or loud music. So there is no apparent single cause that may be pinpointed with this affliction. Even more circumstances that lead to this can be a higher than usual amount of physical actions. All of that tends to make unraveling the mystery of migraines much more difficult.

Physical fitness and health will help alleviate your migraines. Try running for beginners just as one approach to alleviate anxiety.
